- My name is Vicki and I have owned and worked with horses my entire life; you could say it’s a natural way of life for me. I have been riding horses since I was 2 and was always adventurous and passionate about horses. I have worked with several different trainers and stables throughout the years. I worked at a racing stable as a groom and exercise rider, a western pleasure stable as a groom and trainer apprentice, and hunter/jumper stable as trainer apprentice and youth mentor. All of which I gained valuable knowledge and experience. I also participated in 4-H since I was 13 years old.
- I've always enjoyed being creative with my horse knowledge, whether I was training yearlings and selling them as quiet riding prospects, or leasing speed and show horses for youth to experiece 4-H on a winning mount. Horses are a part of my soul. I have trained, ridden, shown, raced, and even driven horses over my 30 years of experience. I also enjoy mentoring those who have a shared passion for horses.
- I still have my youth rodeo horse Oklahoma Jazz on the farm, he's 32 years old and still as spunky as ever! I enjoy showing English Pleasure for fun and training barrel horse prospects. I like to constantly expand my knowledge by reading books, magazines, and attending clinics as well as horse expos. The horse industry is always changing and offering new information.
- My husband, Dan, and I provide very attentive and compassionate care to our horses and would do the same for any others. We enjoy opening our barn to our boarders, and providing quality care to their beloved equines. The farm is filled with beautiful horses and friendly horse enthusiasts.
- We use a variety of methods when training horses, but utilize Clinton Anderson's techniques most. For contesting, I have used alot of Martha Josey's methods as well as my own that have proven successful over the years. We primarily focus on training our own mounts, but will at times help train other horses.
- Dan is a true country boy and quite a natural horseman; patient, gentle, and kind. He is the brawn of the farm, always building or improving something. He is also an avid hunter and hard working farmer, spending numerous hours in the barn or in the fields.
- We have 3 geldings, Okie, Middy and our newest, LeRoy, that we enjoy trail riding, contesting, and camping with. We hope to expand our personal herd by getting a safe mount for our young daughter.
