- My name is Vicki and I have owned and worked with horses my entire life; you could say it’s a natural way of life for me. I have been riding horses since I was 2 and was always adventurous and passionate about horses. I have worked with several different trainers and stables throughout the years, working my way up the ladder. I worked at a racing stable as a stable hand, groom, and exercise rider, a western pleasure stable as a stable hand, groom and trainer apprentice, and hunter/jumper stable as trainer apprentice and youth mentor. All of which I gained valuable knowledge and experience. I participated in 4-H since I was 13 years old and continue to participate in open shows and events as an adult.
- Horses are a part of my soul. I have trained, ridden, shown, raced, and even driven horses over my 30 years of experience. I also enjoy mentoring those who have a shared passion for horses.
- I still have my youth rodeo horse Oklahoma Jazz aka "Okie" on the farm, he's 32 years old and still as spunky as ever! I enjoy showing English Pleasure for fun but my true passion is barrel racing and pole bending events. Okie and I won many competitions over the years in NBHA and MBRA events, but our most memorable moment was winning a local saddle club's women's speed points championship. Okie was 27 years old at the time and over 70 % blind from his worsening cataracts, which forced us to retire shortly after.
- I like to constantly expand my knowledge by reading books, magazines, and attending clinics as well as horse expos. The horse industry is always changing and offering new information and products. I look for new ways to constantly improve our farm as well as equine healthcare and training methods.
- My husband, Dan, and I provide very attentive and compassionate care to our horses and would do the same for any others. We enjoy opening our barn to our boarders, and providing quality care to their beloved equines. The farm is filled with beautiful horses and friendly horse enthusiasts.
- Dan is a true country boy and quite a natural horseman; patient, gentle, and kind. He is the brawn of the farm, always building or improving something. He is also an avid hunter and hard working farmer, spending numerous hours in the barn or in the fields. We farm around 100 acres of hay to supply our stable and offer the remaining for sale.
- We have 3 geldings and 1 filly, Okie, Middy, LeRoy and our newest Martini. We enjoy taking the "boys" trail riding, fun-shows, and camping. We plan to train the filly for competition on speed events while keeping her sane enough for pleasure riding as well.
